This weekend I have learned that the little things in my life are the things makes me the happiest!
I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. It all started with an amazing Friday night. Me, Katie,Darrin and Mud went to the Manti temple to do baptisms for the dead and had the most amazing experience while there. As we walked into the doors of the baptistery the temple workers were happy to see us( a little extra happy). We later found out that four couples had come in with 250 family file names and needed help with them. So I had the wonderful opportunity to be baptized 25 times and also confirmed 25 times for those women who have been waiting on the other side. What a joy it is to know that even though I am here on earth I can still help those in heaven. After we all were done pres Bennett the second counselor in the temple presidency came and talked to us about what we had done those people on the other side. One thing that really stuck out to me while he was speaking was when he talked about how we just gave them the keys to release them from spirit prison. What an amazing visual that is off those women accepting the gospel and progressing on the other side. I couldn't have asked for a better Friday night than 2 hours at the temple.
Then there is Saturday. I had the opportunity to go brand calves with Scott and his Dad and Katie and Darrin came along. Being around cows is something that I miss about home. The day was full of laughter as we teased each other and of course a little work, but not to much. The day continued with studying my lesson and the day ended with working at the Malt Shop(o malt shop how I love thee..sometimes)
Then there is the most amazing day ever and that would be SUNDAY I love Sundays.
I got to teach relief society for the first time ever and boy was it nerve racking but I think it turned out good. I think the lesson was more for me than anyone else. It crazy how the lord works and always knows what we need personally in our lives. As always the rest of church was amazing. Something that we like to do on Sundays is get together and have a big dinner. Of course it was a beautiful day and we headed up the mountain to dutch oven some potatoes and chicken. and of course cobbler because its my favorite! As we were cooking we ran out of propane but luckily for us the food was done thanks goodness cause I don't know what we would have done. It was an awesome Sunday and I am so grateful for amazing friends to spend it with.
I have truly had an amazing week and although nothin to spectacular has happened I learned that the little things in my life are what makes me happy and excited for the next day.
